We have 4 different Anti Vibration Inserts. Please read below to determine which best fits your application. Please call with any questions.

Are you anchoring a bark buster to the bar ends? If so, then the Threaded Insert is ideal. Otherwise, the Non Threaded are best.

ABI-200 (Non Threaded)

This is our standard non threaded insert that fits most 7/8" and 1 1/8" aluminum handlebars. They are compatible with the stock handlebars on most (if not all) modern motocross, enduro, dual sport, off road, and adventure motorcycles (excluding BMW). They are 165mm (6.5") long with a diameter of 13.2mm that can expand up to 17mm. They weigh 137g each (274g for the set).

ABI-300TW (Non Threaded)

Compatible with Renthal Twinwall handlebars only. They are 105mm (4.2") long with a diameter of 15.3mm that can expand up to 18mm. They weigh 112g each (224g for the set).

ABI-ODI (Non Threaded)

Compatible with ODI handlebars only (excluding the Micro bar). They are 135mm (5.3") long with a diameter of 14mm that can expand up to 18mm. They weigh 133g each (266g for the set).

ABI-900 (Threaded)

This is our only Threaded Anti Vibration Insert. If you're running a bark buster, this is the insert to anchor that handguard to. Like the ABI-200, this insert fits most 7/8" and 1 1/8" aluminum handlebars. They are compatible with the stock handlebars on most (if not all) modern motocross, enduro, dual sport, off road, and adventure motorcycles (excluding BMW). We include a 5/8 x 11 tap to thread the bar ends. They are 153mm (6.0") long with a diameter of 15.9mm that steps down to 12mm about 40mm from the outside end side of the insert.

Are you running a full wrap around bark buster? If so, you need the Threaded Anti Vibration Inserts. They double as a solid handguard anchor. The Non Threaded Inserts are not a good handguard anchor.

If you're not running bark busters, the Non Threaded Inserts will work great.

If you're running flag style roost deflectors, the Non Threaded Inserts will work great.

*If you're running a traditional handlebar and struggling with vibration, Flexx Handlebars will provide the best bang for your buck and the largest performance gain. The Anti Vibration Inserts will help, but an internal bar weight can only do so much. The Flexx Bar, on the other hand, is designed specifically to minimize vibration. We use a fiber bushing that wraps the pivot pin and keeps the handles isolated from any metal to metal contact so as soon as you start the bike you notice dramatically less vibration. From there, you can change to softer elastomers and fine tune the elastomer nut to really dial in your preferences. If you're on the fence about Anti Vibration Inserts or Flexx Handlebars, call us!

Installation Instructions

Lightly Lubricate the o-ring and bar insert. To much grease will cause the bar insert to spin. Before installing in pro-taper style bars, remove the o-ring and install the insert to make sure that it fits all the way in. If it fits easily, try it with the o-ring on. The o-ring is optional, it may have to be removed on some bars.
Install the bar insert by pushing only on the allen bolt with a 5mm allen wrench. If you press on the bar insert cap, you will not be able to push it all the way in. This will also damage the expansion piece.
If installing with hand guards follow the diagram to the right.
Tighten allen bolt snug, not too tight. Apply the grip over the bar and Bar Insert on the left side. Slide the throttle tube over the bar and Bar Insert on the right side.

A discreet, but incredibly effective component to any serious racer or casual rider, our inserts do a great job absorbing the vibration transferred from the bars to your hand yielding less fatigue and arm pump. Riders have been installing in them in anything with handlebars from quads to superbikes with great results.

Constructed out of brass with an elastomer expansion joint mounted inside of the handlebars, rubber mounting the mass to absorb the vibration. The Anti Vibration Bar Inserts seal off the inside of the bar, preventing debris inside of your handlebar.

Worked well on Ducati Mutistrada V2

I was trying to reduce blurry mirrors at the dreaded 4-6k rpms at highway speeds. I wasn’t concerned that much about the vibes through the grips. The results were an estimated 50% reduction in vibration. The mirrors are certainly less blurry, but honestly the feel through the bars is dramatically better! My V2 feels closer to a 4 cylinder. Definitely worth trying and not a gimmick.

I was skeptical, but now I see the qualitative difference. No more vibration fatigue, smooth like silk!

The only thing that sort of fit the ProTaper bars...

When I first got these, it looked that it would be perfect for my Protaper bars. I am using the Raptor SE bend. The bar is thicker than usual 7/8 bars out there, which makes the ID be much smaller than standard, so a real challenge to add some anti-vibration weights to it. Be aware though that these Protaper bars taper even more ~ 3 or so inches in from each side. These FASST bar weight inserts are a tad thicker in the first inch of the insert, but it still fit the bar....until I cut an inch off each end of the bar! Then that thicker section of the inserts hit the thicker part of the bar (it is not gradual, just a step, on both the insert and the ID of the bar). It was a major bummer. So I had to grind down that thicker section of the FASST inserts to make it fit as there is no way to change the handlebar ID! I am not sure why these FASST Inserts are thicker in the first inch, there must be a reason for being, but be aware you will need to customize it if you are cutting your ProTaper bars. If you do not need to cut the handlebars, it will be 100% plug&play! I also added a cap at the end of these as i have open ended grips and the bare metal cap of these inserts were not what I was looking for (besides, they are meant to be hidden inside a closed grip anyway). I used the bolts that came with the caps which luckily for me were the same thread as the inserts, but a little longer as needed. These inserts are each twice as heavy as my stock bar weights so I am looking forward to riding and seeing if I can notice the difference.

Problem Solved

I installed these on my DRZ400s/Protaper CR High handlebars with Cycra Probend handguards. What a difference! Now I have minimal vibration at highway speeds. Problem solved!
